"The Valentino of Rap" - An Episode In Memory of Kangol Kid

Today’s episode is in honor of my dear friend and brother, Kangol Kid, who just recently passed from his battle with colon cancer. Kangol was of course a legendary member of the groundbreaking hip-hop group, UTFO, who’s song Roxanne, Roxanne defined 1984 for me. But beyond that, Kangol was a great songwriter, incredible father, and an absolutely wonderful person who I’m so lucky to have called a friend.
