TWO KILOS OF POT

A rising nine-piece rock band from San Diego, California, Freedom Quest seemed destined for success in 1973 --until their promising future was derailed by one of their own roadies, who was working undercover for the DEA.

LEADER OF THE PACK

The band's leader, Craig Ingraham, served six weeks at a federal prison farm camp. By the time he was released, the band had dissolved, and his girlfriend and fellow band member Debora Masterson ended their relationship, sending Craig spiraling on a years-long journey that led him to join a cult in Hawaii.

A CULT IN HAWAII AND DEATH IN THAILAND

After escaping the cult, Craig returned to California to rebuild his life. In a remarkable twist, the cult's leader was gunned down in Thailand by a scorned lover.

TRUE LOVE REUNITES

Years later, Craig was reunited with Debora, who, in 2026, wrote and published a gripping book about Freedom Quest, the cult, and the enduring love story she shared with Craig.
