Duke Blue Devils outlast Kansas Jayhawks in a gritty exhibition victory at Allen Fieldhouse. Can Patrick Ngongba’s dominant 28-point, 10-rebound performance launch Duke toward a special season? Experience and resilience steal the spotlight as the Blue Devils weather hostile territory, fend off multiple Kansas runs, and showcase poise under pressure.
JJ Jackson and Dr. Rob Jackson break down John Blackwell’s hot shooting, Jojo Boumtje Boumtje’s flashes of potential, and how role players like Sebastian Wilkins and Cayden Boozer impacted winning. The conversation spotlights Duke’s late-game execution issues, rotation questions, and defensive breakdowns—while crediting Jon Scheyer’s challenging exhibition schedule. As Duke gears up to face Army, the episode asks: Did this test reveal true championship character, or are there concerns still to address before ACC play?
