The Assurance Podcast is a follow up to Juba’s documentary 'Assurance' which explored the experiences of female DJs in Nigeria. Following on from the first series of the Assurance Podcast Juba has returned for another 6 part series where she will talk to 6 other women DJs from across the Global South, reflecting on their personal journeys, their music scenes and how their social contexts and current affairs have impacted them. Guests will also offer up reflections on their career by way of empowering listeners and share insights into those who are also doing work to improve gender representation in music. Assurance is all about spotlighting voices away from the European and North American club scenes, which dominate in conversations around gender and representation in music.
