Our guest today, Jackson, is an avid camper. He went camping in February-March 2021 in the Sheepyard Flats, Howqua Hills VIC area. At one point, he got out to lock the vehicle’s 4x4 hubs in, heard a massive tree fall and footsteps and then saw a 8-10 feet tall hairy thing that he quickly realised wasn’t a deer. At first he thought it was some guy in a gorilla suit, but then quickly realised that was an unlikely scenario, and then he heard a grunt and noticed a pungent, rotting flesh/burnt plastic smell, and we all know what that means... Today Jackson shares this fascinating sighting plus other unnerving experiences near Orbost and Licola VIC.
