In this episode, I sit down with holistic transformation coach, TEDx speaker, retreat facilitator, and podcast host Ash Butterss to explore the deeper healing that begins after sobriety.

After entering rehab in 2020, Ash realized that removing alcohol was only the first step. The real journey was learning to heal the anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and feelings of not being enough that had been driving her addiction all along.

Together we explore:

  • Why nothing external can fill an internal void
  • The connection between addiction, nervous system dysregulation, and self-worth
  • How yoga, spirituality, and breathwork became powerful tools for healing
  • Removing the "armour" we build to survive
  • What authenticity really looks like after recovery
  • Creating a life you no longer need to escape from

Whether you're sober, sober curious, or simply longing to feel more at home in yourself, this conversation is a reminder that true transformation isn't about becoming someone new—it's about remembering who you were before the world told you who you had to be.

I am excited to be leading Kirtan on Ash's upcoming retreat here in Bali next month! You can learn more about Ash's work here. https://www.ashbutterss.com/
