In this episode of Pengeland, we talk with Gwamaka Patrick Mwakyanjala, who works for Norwegian Church Aid (Kirkens Nødhjelp) in Tanzania. We hear about his experiences with advocacy to get the government to use tax reform to fund an important health project in 2023. Additionally, we gain insight into the role of civil society and faith-based groups in Tanzania today, and discuss how to ensure that tax revenues actually contribute to welfare—and don't disappear along the way.
