A tumultuous relationship, a single gunshot, and a secret recording.
On October 1st, 2021, 20-year-old Rena Nguyen was found dead from a single gunshot wound in the upstairs bedroom of her boyfriend, Caleb Rees’ home.
Rena’s death was initially ruled a suicide.
While it was true, that Rena had pulled the trigger, three years later, a secret recording was discovered that changed the entire course of the investigation.
