#Logos #Orthodoxy #Christianity In this stream I discuss the popular argument going around social media and among a few academics such as John Marco Alegro arguing that Christianity is in origin a fertility cult that mythologized Jesus Christ from the ancient inebriating rituals surrounding psychedelic mushroom use. When placed into historical context, I argue that all the visual evidence for this theory fails to have significant merit and may very well been part of a esoteric gnostic ritual.
