Westside Connection was a movement. A force to be reckoned with. Their 1996 genre defying group effort made quite the scene, drawing both praise and criticism for their criticism of the industry bias against the West Coast during the rise of the East vs West beef. I discuss the origins, influences and objective of the group’s formation, along with their legacy to this day. I know I try to make these 5 minutes, but there was so much more I wanted to say that I ended up going over a few minutes.
