On June 9, Alnwick Haldimand Township announced it was closing its offices to walk-in traffic following serious threats, acts of intimidation, and harassment directed at senior staff.

There were allegations of staff being targeted on social media, by email, and through comments on the municipal website.

The offices were reopened Wednesday, three weeks after the closure.

In this interview with township CAO Dave Dawson, he will explain the closure, speak about what happened, and why it was necessary. He will also clarify the steps taken to ensure staff safety.
