On this episode, we will be discussing the Radium girls - who were women who worked in radium factories around the 1920s, they suffered horrible effects of radiation poisoning and fought for years to have their suffering recognised as caused by their working conditions. We will cover their afflictions and the court cases which followed and helped radically reform workplace laws.
