Sean reads his essay titled '2001: a carnist odyssey'. Setting the themes for all his future works, Stanley gives us the moral basis to start from in 2001. Kubrick isn't depicting the birth of Man, he is showing us the birth of psychopathy. Using carnism do depict the total domination of other species by Mankind. Along with biblical & Darwinian allusions which depict our evolution and the murder of Abel by his wrathful brother Cain. If we are to assume the law of the jungle is right and true, like a Darwinian thinker might, then Bowman's transformation is an apotheosis. But if we see it from a moral, biblical perspective then Bowman is forever exiled from the Garden of Eden. How do you see it?
