Brandt was a normal kayak fisherman living near Jackson, MS. He frequently made trips to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi in pursuit of redfish, and speckled trout. Now armed with a fly rod and a vise, he still chases reds and specks, but now on flies he designs and with the "buggy whip."
