THE WORD IN 4D - Sr Cooey and Sr Armata: The Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13)

This week on Word In 4D, Sr Cooey and Sr Armata of the Dominican Sisters of St Joseph look at the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13) through the Catechism of the Catholic Church, drawing on CCC 1036, 1618, 2232 and 2731.

They suggest a question for the top of everyone’s to-do list: “Does God have an eternal plan for me?” They talk about making a relationship with Jesus the focus of our lives, and about how the domestic church is called to trust that God will be faithful to our children. They also remind us that our first vocation is to follow Jesus.

Their encouragement for the week is to keep praying, even through the dry periods of life. Cling to your faith when the oil runs out, because sometimes all you need to do is show up.

Ideal for catechists, Children’s Liturgy leaders, teachers and parents preparing for this Sunday’s Gospel.
