Jeff is a broadcast meteorologist for WFLA News Channel 8 Tampa Bay as well as being a fountain of knowledge about hurricanes, climate change and the power of great science communication.
Jeff reflects on his lifelong passion for weather, from growing up fascinated by snowstorms in New York to forecasting hurricanes in Florida. He explains how first-hand experience of sea level rise in Miami and increasingly extreme weather led him to retrain with a master's degree in climate science at Columbia University before becoming one of the first network meteorologists in the United States to combine weather forecasting with dedicated climate reporting.
