Museum worker charged with possession of Semtex bomb near Irish border granted bail

A National Museum worker accused of storing a semtex bomb that was later intercepted while being transported near the border has been granted bail.

Simon O’Donovan took the explosive device from his workplace at Collins Barracks museum in Dublin and handed it over to a woman, law student Isobella Perrie Sullivan who was stopped with it in her car in Co. Monaghan later that day, it is alleged.

Both have now being granted bail by the High Court despite objections of Gardai.
