5.10 Climber Sends 5.13b | Friend Mentors Novice to Success

Ep. #11: Seasoned Rock Climber, Eli Buzzell, convinced his underqualified friend, Vince, to free climb a desolate route in the New Hampshire backcountry (Greens Cliff). The route called "357" was a 5.13b traditional route ascending an overhanging crack and had only seen one free ascent. This is the tale of two friends; one gallon of whisky; too many cigars; and mentoring a novice to succeed beyond his wildest expectations.
