Girls School Screamers (1986)

For The Blind Rage Podcast, higher education has officially become hazardous with GIRLS SCHOOL SCREAMERS (1986).

Seven students from a Catholic college are dispatched to the sprawling Welles mansion to catalog its inherited art collection, only to uncover a diary, a disturbing portrait with an uncanny resemblance to one of their own, and evidence that the family history should probably have remained buried. A séance further poisons the weekend, while an unseen killer starts thinning the enrollment in increasingly gruesome fashion. Shot in the Philadelphia area before Troma acquired it and added extra gore, this low-budget collision of slasher mayhem and supernatural melodrama has enough Catholic guilt to make confession seem like the safer extracurricular activity.
