It's the penultimate episode of Season 1. 

In the background, across time and the whole globe, powerful people have been playing chess, and it was inevitable that pieces would meet on the battlefield at some point. 300 years of history, blood, warfare, magic and mystery has lead to a single conversation over coffee. 

Both Yin and Yang on the chessboard are forced to reveal their pieces as the threads for each previous episode tie together.
