Welcome back to Quest Fishing Adventures, and welcome to the August 2026 update.
This month has been all about making the most of some much-needed time away from work and getting back to what I enjoy most — spending some proper quality time beside the water.
I’ve managed to get out and spend some time fishing the Wilds, enjoying the peace and quiet, watching the water and just soaking up everything that comes with being out there. And, of course, the fishing gods were kind enough to reward the effort with a couple of carp along the way.
But August also brings another little tradition, because it’s time for the annual birthday fish with Alex. We headed off for a few days on another lake, hoping to put a few fish on the bank and, more importantly, enjoy some time away and do what we both love.
So, in this month’s update, there’s a bit of everything — some quality time on the Wilds, a few days away with Alex, a couple of carp, and plenty of those moments that make getting out there in the first place so worthwhile.
