We will practice speaking MORE natural Japanese.
[4. Allegro] 〜ますから → 〜ので
“I have to go now*, as I have errands to run.“
*osakini = here means; now, earlier than usual, before you

Hello, everyone. How are you doing? We will practice speaking natural Japanese.
You have learned to use ‘Masu Form+kara’, when giving a reason, right?
For example,
1. As I have to work overtime, I cant’t go to see the film.
2. As there was no taxi, I walked home.
3. As I would like to take medicine, could I have some water please?
[00:43]
Honestly, when Japanese people hear a sentence like this, it feels a bit strange. Japanese people don’t often say things like this in everyday conversation.
How do Japanese say? Do you know? Now, listen and compare.
[No difference in the English translation.]
1. As I had to work overtime, I couldn’t go to the movie.
2. As there was no taxi, I walked home.
3. As I would like to take medicine, could I have some water please?
Well, we use ‘〜node’, namely [ Plain Form +node ]. We practice this structure. (Also, please refer to JS 21).
[01:51]
Firstly, please convert ‘〜desukara’ to ‘〜node’.
Example:
1. As I drive
2. As it’s cold
Ready?
[02:15]
1. As I’m going to go for a walk now,
2. As my friend hasn’t come yet,
3. As my package will arrive soon,
4. As our manager is on holiday (not in the office),
5. As I’m going to eat later,
6. As Sato san doesn’t drink alcohol,
7. As I want to pass the exam,
8. As the traffic light is still red,
9. As it might rarin in the afternoon,
10. As that personal computer is too expensive,

みなさん、こんにちは。お元気(げんき)ですか。今日(きょう)はナチュラルな日本語(にほんご)を話(はな)す練習(れんしゅう)をしましょう。
みなさんは、理由(りゆう)を言(い)うときは、「ますForm+から」を使(つか)うと習(なら)いましたね。
