The Limits of Self-Awareness | What You Can’t Yet Perceive

Dela

You can be deeply self-aware, practise meditation, yoga, bodywork or energy work, and still be unable to recognise the limits of your present perception. In this episode, Anandi Sano explores a problem at the centre of human development: we use the body, mind and perceptual system we currently have to assess that very same system. What has been present for long enough can begin to feel normal, and what we have never learned to perceive does not necessarily feel as though it is missing.Drawing on her own development through peiec®, Anandi explores body awareness, energetic sensitivity, spatial perception, stillness and the difference between feeling a great deal and being able to discriminate increasingly subtle information. She also examines why someone can genuinely be highly aware and still later discover that their previous experience was only one reference point. A body can feel relaxed until it becomes substantially less contracted. A person can feel spatially aware until the space around and behind the body becomes available in a different way. A genuine experience of stillness can deepen until activity that once appeared normal becomes perceptible. This conversation is particularly relevant for people who have already spent years exploring themselves through meditation, yoga, bodywork, therapy, energetic practices, contemplative work or other forms of personal development and are interested in what may exist beyond their present reference point.Anandi Sano is the creator of peiec®, an original body and energy methodology exploring the physical, emotional, intellectual and energetic layers of the person alongside touch, spatial awareness, perception, stillness and consciousness.ABOUT PEIEC®peiec® is an original body of work developed through Anandi Sano over more than a decade, exploring the physical body, energy, touch, perception, stillness, consciousness and what may continue to become possible within us over time. The work includes more than 200 techniques and applications, ranging from physical body work and gentle touch to energetic and completely non-contact approaches. At the centre of peiec® is learning to work with yourself. Students apply the work to their own body and system, while also practising with and receiving from others as their experience and perception continue to develop.People come to peiec® for different reasons and remain with the work for different lengths of time. For some, it becomes a continuing path of development over many years. A small number choose to pursue professional certification, but becoming a practitioner is not the purpose of the pathway.peiec® can be learned online worldwide, with in-person immersions held in Australia.LEARN & EXPLOREBegin with The Pathway →https://www.peiecinternational.com/th...Explore The Work →https://www.peiecinternational.com/th...Begin with The First Gate →https://www.peiecinternational.com/fi...The peiec® Study →https://www.peiecinternational.com/th...About Anandi Sano →https://www.peiecinternational.com/an...Anandi's Bookshttps://www.peiecinternational.com/by...peiec® Website → https://www.peiecinternational.com/Instagram → / anandi_sano
