Tiffany McGhee says bonds are "setting the price" for markets even though investors' key focus remains on earnings. As tech earnings continue to raise the bar each quarter, she sees companies like Meta Platforms (META) and Lam Research (LRCX) becoming more crucial to maintaining pace with that growth. That said, Tiffany sees the long-lasting conflict in the Middle East keeping the Fed tethered to fighting inflation without derailing the U.S. economy. All of the economic and geopolitical uncertainty makes gold an attractive commodity to Tiffany.
