But spending is increasingly divided by income, with the top 10% of earners expected to spend five times the average while other consumers remain pressured by inflation and prices. McGee also discusses how AI is making comparison shopping easier, why many shoppers still prefer physical stores, and how strong demand has pushed retail occupancy into the mid-90% range.
