Ahead of IBM Corp. (IBM) earnings Tuesday, Kim Forrest expects the legacy tech firm to face a tough road due to difficulties around large-scale tech deployments. She adds that the field of quantum computing, which IBM has plenty of exposure to, is greatly misunderstood. She says IBM is ahead of the curve in the space but still faces a years-long quantum buildout. IBM's acquisition of Confluence is something Kim says "muddies the waters" to the outlook.
