"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28 NKJV)
If God is good, why does life hurt so much? Pain was never part of His original design, and it is never proof that He has left you. God never promised a life without fire, but He promised to be in the fire with you.
In this message, we walk through ten biblical truths about pain, and what God does with it:
1. Pain entered through the fall (Genesis 3:16)
2. Pain is not proof God has left you (Isaiah 43:2)
3. Jesus knows your pain personally (Isaiah 53:3, Hebrews 4:15)
4. God draws near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18)
5. You are allowed to cry out (Psalm 13:1, John 11:35)
6. Pain produces something in you (Romans 5:3-4)
7. God wastes nothing (Romans 8:28, Genesis 50:20)
8. Your pain becomes comfort for others (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
9. Grace is sufficient in the pain (2 Corinthians 12:9)
10. Pain is temporary, glory is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:17, Revelation 21:4)
Your pain is not the end of your story. God is a Redeemer, He wastes nothing, and one day He will wipe every tear from your eyes. Pain has an expiration date. Glory doesn't.
