Today’s guest is Nic Bonney with the Nebraska State Patrol, who’s been in law enforcement since 2011 and currently serves in a specialized Criminal Interdiction Unit.
Nic focuses on nontraditional interdiction methods, including parcel interdiction and consensual encounters. Targeting narcotics shipments before they ever hit the street.
Since joining the unit, he’s been directly involved in major seizures; including hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana all through innovative investigative techniques.
He’s also testified as an expert in both state and federal court, teaches at major interdiction conferences, and works with ACE Interdiction, helping train law enforcement officers across the country on modern interdiction tactics.
Today, we’re breaking down how interdiction is evolving, what most people don’t understand about this work, and how officers are staying ahead of increasingly sophisticated trafficking operations.
