Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull from 2008 is a bad film. It really wants to feel like classic Indy, so it throws in familiar beats—just with more CGI and fewer good ideas. But John Hurt’s in it, so there’s that. We try to make sense of the fridge thing, the alien thing, and the Shia LaBeouf thing. Also, was this the moment Steven Spielberg stopped caring? Let’s find out.

(PS this was first recorded to tie in with the release of Dial of Destiny in 2023, so you can understand if we have the odd dated reference! It has also been pointed out to us that the Raiders theory has been raised on Big Bang Theory - neither of us have seen that!)
