Why We Need More Empathy - Not Less

Is the west suffering from too much empathy? The argument has been advanced by Gad Saad in his New York Times best seller Suicidal Empathy: Dying to Be Kind , where he argues that excessive empathy from the political left is leading society down a self destructive path. But there is another perspective which argues that we need more empathy not less. Adrian Goldberg hears from Vaughan Smith - a war correspondent and one of the founders of London’s Frontline Club - whose new book The Extraction Pattern stands as a rebuttal of Gad Saad.
