Friends of the Rosary,

In today’s Gospel (Matthew 12:46-50), Jesus is told that His mother and relatives are outside asking for Him. His answer might sound sharp at first: “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”

But Jesus is just revealing something deeper: Belonging to Him is not only about blood, name, culture, or religious identity. True closeness to Jesus comes from doing the will of the Father.

Every person who listens to God, trusts Him, and obeys Him can become part of His own family.

Mary is the perfect example of this Gospel because she belongs to Jesus not only as His mother, but as the one who says yes to God completely: “Let it be done to me according to your word.” So Jesus is opening the door wider.

In the first reading, we learn that doing God’s will means forgiving, trusting, returning to Him, and letting His compassion shape how we treat others.

Let’s not measure our closeness to God only by a religious prayer routine. Let’s ask: Am I actually doing the Father’s will today? Am I a forgiving and merciful person?

Ave Maria!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!

Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.
Please give us the grace to respond with joy!
