Ali Riley & Kelley O’Hara break down another wild NWSL weekend as Gotham becomes the first team to clinch a playoff spot! Rose Lavelle, Jordynn Dudley, and Sam Kerr are proving to be a dangerous attacking trio, Ashley Sanchez is still chasing the Golden Boot, and Kelley is FULLY on the Denver Summit bandwagon.
Then, what is going on with NWSL red cards? Angel City takes down Utah in a game featuring TWO red cards, and Ali & Kelley debate the inconsistency surrounding hair-pulling incidents and what the rule actually is. Plus, San Diego Wave’s impressive win over KC Current and why nobody could see what was happening during Washington Spirit vs. Chicago Stars.
And after the USWNT’s early exit from the U-20 Women’s World Cup, Ali & Kelley discuss the tournament’s scheduling controversy, the young stars missing from the roster, and whether college soccer needs to change to keep up with the next generation of professional players.
