The Houston Texans are 0–4, but two major developments could help turn their season around. DeMeco Ryans is taking back defensive playcalling duties from Matt Burke, and Tank Dell has returned to practice as he works toward getting back on the field.
Former Texans defensive lineman Seth Payne breaks down why DeMeco's decision could have a much bigger impact than simply changing who's calling the plays. From defensive communication and preparation to the potential return of Azeez Al-Shaair, there are several reasons to believe Houston's defense can get back on track.
On offense, Seth examines how Tank Dell's eventual return, increased involvement from Jaylin Noel, and improved pass protection could help C.J. Stroud and the Texans build on their 30-point performance against Dallas. But can Nick Caley finally figure out how to establish a credible running game?
Plus, a preview of the Tennessee Titans matchup, including Cam Ward's development, the emergence of Carnell Tate, and the challenge of facing Jeffery Simmons and Tennessee's defensive front.
The Texans have a chance to get their first win. Is this finally the week they put it all together?
