He also says that Indra keeps drenching the fire with rain whenever Agni tries to consume the vana by burning it.
Arjuna promises to help him. in return agni& Varuna offer Gandivam the divine Dhanush and many astras to Arjuna . krishna also gets chakra and other Astras through them.
after a fearful fight Indra gives up. and agni consumes the forest to his content. Indra also offers many Astras.
