Metropolis, Terminator, Ex Machina – we know them from the cult movies, but cyborgs are not only a creation of Hollywood. They are already among us. Prof. Robert Riener is a full professor for Sensory-Motor Systems at ETH Zurich and he researches interactions between humans and machines, user-cooperative rehabilitation robots, exoskeletons, and virtual reality technologies. He is also the initiator and organizer of the CYBATHLON, an Olympic-style competition for athletes with physical disabilities, who are using advanced robotic technologies.

We're talking with prof. Riener about challenges of the interface of the human body with modern technology. What does being a cyborg mean? And will we want to become cyborgs in near future? Listen to it in the special episode of the Grow with Tech podcast.
