US Open 2026 Day 7 delivered absolute chaos! š„ Iva Jovic defeated Alexandra Eala in an epic three-set battle, Learner Tien survived Jakub Mensik in a five-set thriller, while Taylor Fritz, Madison Keys and Amanda Anisimova all crashed out of the tournament.
Jovic edged Eala 7-5, 3-6, 7-5 under the lights at Arthur Ashe Stadium to set up a huge all-American clash with Coco Gauff. Tien battled past Mensik in five sets and continues his brilliant US Open run, with Karen Khachanov waiting in Round 4.
There was heartbreak for the American favourites as Francisco Cerundolo came back from two sets down to stun Taylor Fritz, Qinwen Zheng produced an incredible deciding-set comeback against Madison Keys, and Anastasia Potapova knocked out 2025 finalist Amanda Anisimova.
Elsewhere, Coco Gauff moved safely into the fourth round, Iga Swiatek survived two tiebreaks against Marie Bouzkova, Naomi Osaka defeated Elise Mertens, Elena Rybakina advanced to set up a blockbuster Osaka showdown, and Alexander Zverev continued his title charge. Alexander Blockx also produced a huge upset over Flavio Cobolli.
