Scientific Sense ® by Gill Eapen: Prof Mariassunta Giannetti is a professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics; she is also a CEPR research fellow in the financial economics program and a research associate of the ECGI. She studies how formal institutions (such as investor protection) and informal institutions (such as culture and social norms) affect corporate finance, investor behavior, asset valuations, and economic and financial integration.
