It was such a GIFT getting to care for my mama these past few weeks after her serious car accident - and it is so interesting that this week's podcast covers in part what my life was all about this week! After we look at Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, we look at blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. The promise attached to this beatitude is SO BEAUTIFUL in that it says we become a CHANNEL of what we give. If we GIVE mercy, we get mercy... 2 Corinthians 9:6 says, "Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." Beloved, hear me, when you give mercy, you will receive MORE mercy to give out. When you are loving, you receive more love to give... and on and on.... Be encouraged that God sees your heart as you give - so don't give like it is somehow a formula in order to GET from God! Rather, we give out of an overflow of His work in our lives, and then watch what happens!! Luke 6:38, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. "
