Another major piece of the Cardinals' core has arrived.

On this week’s Redbird Report, Brandon Kiley and Tanner Hendrickson break down Joshua Baez’s historic start to his Major League career, and the spark that it could bring to the already red-hot Cardinals.

They also discuss Alec Burleson's breakout season and why he is a vital piece of the Cardinals' long-term future, the opportunity for Blaze Jordan at third base, Kyle Leahy’s looming innings limit, the club’s trade deadline decisions, and how Rainiel Rodriguez’s positional versatility could reshape the lineup.

Plus, with six important games against Cincinnati and Philadelphia ahead, BK and T-Bone look at where the Cardinals stand in the Wild Card race and what needs to happen for St. Louis to keep its playoff hopes alive.
