JetBoatPilot Founder Will Owen on Jet Boating, Family Trips, and Saltwater Maintenance Tips On the Boater Secret Weapon Podcast

The host interviews Will Owen, founder of JetBoatPilot in Florida's Panhandle, where he mostly boats in saltwater, visits sandbars, and enjoys places like Shell Island and Crooked Island.

Will shares family boating memories and explains why he prefers jet boats, including a story about proposing to his wife on a jet boat and safely hitting a sandbar at night. He describes how JetBoatPilot started in 2010 by solving jet boats' low-speed steering problems with the Thrust Vector, then grew into more products, custom installs (including Seakeeper Ride), MarineMat work, and boat consignment sales.

He also gives Gulf Coast tips: flush often, use salt-removal products, replace engine anodes and thermostats every two years, and don't leave boats in the water more than 2–3 days.
