God's church was growing and picking up steam, but by the time they arrived in Acts 15, Jewish and Gentile Christians could not get along. The Jews were preaching that the Gentiles needed to keep the Jewish law first; the Gentiles were preaching the gospel was enough. Would the church splinter into a Jewish Christian church and Gentile Christian church, or would they listen to the Holy Spirit and each other to work through their sharp differences?
