In 1978, five friends with a shared love of basketball set out to a nearby town to watch a game involving one of their favourite teams. What was supposed to be an enjoyable occasion, however, turned to horror when, for reasons unknown, they wound up on a steep mountain road, where their car became stuck. The group of men then abandoned the vehicle. In the subsequent months, four of the five men were discovered, all dead, their bodies in various locations across the area. The mystery of what happened to the Yuba County Five continues to perplex authorities and online sleuths even four decades later...
