Field Notes: Delta Waterfowl Takes Action to Protect Wetlands & Duck Hunters | Episode 04

In recent weeks, Delta’s policy team has worked with conservation partners, lawmakers, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and more than 220 Delta chapters across 44 states to reinforce the importance of protecting these wetlands. These easements provide habitat for an estimated 1.7 million breeding pairs of ducks and were built in large part through the investments of generations of duck hunters.
In this update, we break down what’s happening, what Delta has done, and why protecting these wetlands matters for ducks and duck hunters for generations to come.
