To understand God’s grand themefor heaven and earth, we must go back to the beginning, even earlier. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Two realms for which God has a plan and purpose. Notice that heaven is singular. That’s not a reference to the sun, moon, and stars,as they were created on day four of the creation week. Heaven is the abode of God and the heavenly host. Let ’s build a timeline from Genesis 1:1. Genesis 1:1 records the beginningmarked by the creation of the current heaven and earth. But something happened before the beginning. Remember, God is eternal.
