In the finale episode 6 of the HBO drama Plot Against America, the mounting tension as riots & conspiracies spread across the U.S., leading up to election day. Herman Leven the head of the Jewish household the story centers around, takes measures he sees as necessary to keep his family safe. His wife Best does a remarkable job from miles away to help a small child & former neighbor, Seldon remain calm after he is caught in a maelstrom of anti-Semitism and his mother is killed. The FBI hauls Rabbi Lionel out of bed and into their custody while his new wife Evelyn escapes to her sister Bess’ house seeking refuge only to be turned away with threats to never return.
