“Switch Hitter” by J.S. Hawthorne (part 2 of 2)

David Steward is New York’s premier supernatural detective, but he’s learned that he’s not the first Steward to protect Gotham from all the things that go bump in the night. Fifty years ago, his grandmother, Helen Steward, once saved not just the Big Apple, but America’s Pastime itself from the sinister forces of evil. This is that story.

Tonight’s story is the second and final part of “Switch Hitter” by J.S. Hawthorne, a proud member of the Furry Historical Fiction Society and casual L.A. Dodgers fan. You can find her most recent story, The Cusp Of All Broken Things, in The Wideness of the World by Transcendent Fiction Publishing, as well as the other Furry Historical Fiction Society anthologies.
