When did home become the place we rush through on the way to everything else?
In this episode of Nourished Connections, I’m talking about the lost art of simply being home—and why I think we need to rediscover it.
So much of modern life pulls us outward. Work, errands, activities, appointments, sports, shopping, screens, and constant entertainment can leave us spending less and less time actually enjoying the homes we work so hard to create.
I’m sharing thoughts on why being home matters, how staying home can strengthen family connection, save money, encourage creativity, and create space for rest. We’ll also talk about the difference between physically being at home and actually being present there, why kids need boredom sometimes, and how to create a home that your family genuinely enjoys spending time in.
This is not about isolating ourselves from the world. It is about remembering that some of the most meaningful parts of life can happen right inside our own four walls.
If you’d like more encouragement and practical ideas for creating a cozy, intentional home, I’d love to have you join my Cozy Homemaker Circle on Facebook.
