For years, I didn't think speaking in tongues was for me. I had been taught that the gifts of the Spirit were a first-century phenomenon — that the book of Acts was a transitional book, that the supernatural had faded, and that modern believers should just stick to "the Word."

I accepted it. And I dried up spiritually.
