Where should you store files on the web is a question almost as old as the web itself. Ok, so the obvious answer is on the filesystem of your webserver. On the surface that makes sense, unless you have a busy website with multiple web servers (web heads) and each of them have their own filesystem. Now it’s not so obvious. Now you have to start thinking the problem through. So let’s do that, shall we?
