Almost a decade ago Silas was brutally attacked in the middle of the night in such a way that only ever happens in the movies. Were it not for a stroke of luck, he wouldn't be here today to be a father to his boys. Since the attack, Silas has undergone extensive post-traumatic growth and has even written a book based on the events that we will be discussing today.
